Where AION 2’s servers are
According to NC, the global version runs on servers hosted locally in four regions: North America, South America, Europe and Japan. The game launched on Steam and on PURPLE, NC’s platform, and players from both stores share the same servers.
You choose in three steps: region first, then faction, then server. Each server holds a single faction, and the character transfer NC announced only works between servers in the same region. That’s why it pays to choose well from the start.
Which region to pick
- The one closest to you: usually the lowest ping.
- Your group’s region: if your guild plays elsewhere, expect higher ping in exchange for playing together.
Agree on a region with your group before creating a character, since changing regions later isn’t a simple transfer.
Fixes that help
- Use an Ethernet cable.
- Pause downloads and streams during raids and PvP.
- Close the Steam or PURPLE launcher in the background if it’s downloading updates.
GearUP code LEAVEN for AION 2 with less lag
If you’re on the right server and lag only shows on the route to it, a booster can help. According to GearUP, GearUP Booster has an optimization for AION 2 to cut ping and disconnects. Results depend on your connection; no booster guarantees a fixed ping.
GearUP Booster has a 3-day free trial that turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. If you subscribe, pick the 12-month plan, which has the lowest monthly price, and enter LEAVEN for 10% off. See the GearUP coupon code guide.
