How to see your ping in Apex Legends
According to EA, go to Settings, Gameplay tab, and turn on Performance Display. The game then shows FPS, latency and packet loss during matches.
Pick the closest data center
According to EA:
- Open the game and don’t press Continue on the launch screen.
- Select Data Center in the bottom-left corner.
- Pick the server closest to where you are.
EA explains that a distant data center raises ping and packet loss because your data travels farther.
Fixes that help
- Use an Ethernet cable.
- Pause downloads and streaming during matches.
- Update your network driver.
GearUP code LEAVEN for Apex Legends with less lag
If your network is fine and lag only shows on the route to the server, a booster can help. According to GearUP, Apex Legends is on its supported games list, and its routing technology looks for steadier paths. Results depend on your connection; no booster guarantees a fixed ping.
GearUP Booster has a 3-day free trial that turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. If you subscribe, pick the 12-month plan, which has the lowest monthly price, and enter LEAVEN for 10% off. See the GearUP coupon code guide.
