What GearUP promises
According to GearUP, its Adaptive Intelligent Routing (AIR) reduces high ping, packet loss, jitter and cross-region instability by sending game traffic through optimized paths. GearUP says the product only optimizes the connection and makes no gameplay changes. The company reports more than 3,000 supported games and more than 8 million monthly active users.
Strengths, based on the official information
- Platform coverage: Windows, Android and iOS, plus consoles through the HYPEREV router.
- Large game list: Valorant, Fortnite, League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Roblox and Apex Legends are on the official list.
- Plans for groups: Duo and Squad plans share one subscription between 2 or 5 people.
- Many payment methods: cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and crypto, among others, depending on the country.
Points to watch
- Trial that bills: the 3-day free trial becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. Third-party complaint sites show users charged near the end of the trial. Cancel at least a day early; the free trial guide shows how.
- Refund rules: the checkout shows a 7-day money-back guarantee, while the User Agreement says purchases are final unless the terms or local law say otherwise.
- Consoles cost more: HYPEREV is extra hardware, and it still needs the membership.
- No independent numbers: GearUP doesn’t publish test results that can be checked, and results depend on your connection and game server.
Is GearUP Booster for you? Code LEAVEN for 10% off
A booster helps when the problem is the route between you and the game server, for example when you play on a server in another region. If your lag comes from weak Wi-Fi, other devices on the network or a slow plan, fix those first. The GearUP vs ExitLag comparison shows how it stacks up against its best-known rival.
