Where Winds Meet lag: how to fix it on PC and PS5
By Leonardo Araújo, CEO of Leaven Marketing · Code verified at checkout on
Where Winds Meet is a free-to-play open-world action RPG whose combat depends on well-timed dodges and counters. When the connection wobbles, strikes land late and bosses seem to teleport. If you choose a booster on PC, the code LEAVEN takes 10% off GearUP Booster.

What to know about the game
According to NetEase, Everstone Studio’s Where Winds Meet launched worldwide on November 14, 2025, free to play on PC and PlayStation 5. On PC, it’s on Steam, the Epic Games Store and the official website. The game’s official page doesn’t list server regions to choose from.
Where lag usually starts
- Weak Wi-Fi or a busy network: downloads, streams and other devices on the same network compete with the game.
- Route to the server: playing far from the server raises ping, and your provider’s route can make it worse.
- Crowded moments: busy areas and events weigh more on the connection and the computer.
Fixes that help
- Use an Ethernet cable, on PC and PS5.
- Pause downloads and updates during your session, including the console’s own.
- Play with friends in the same region as you.
GearUP code LEAVEN for Where Winds Meet with less lag
If your network is fine and lag only shows on the route to the server, a booster can help. According to GearUP, GearUP Booster has a connection optimization for Where Winds Meet. On PC it works through the app; on PS5, GearUP uses its own HYPEREV router, sold separately. Results depend on your connection; no booster guarantees a fixed ping.
GearUP Booster has a 3-day free trial that turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. If you subscribe, pick the 12-month plan, which has the lowest monthly price, and enter LEAVEN for 10% off. See the GearUP coupon code guide and GearUP Booster on PS5.
